RESULTSCEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville honored its four graduating seniors and then stayed atop the Great Midwest Athletic Conference standings with a 9-0 result against Central State.
The Lady Jackets improved 11-8 overall and 6-0 G-MAC with the outcome at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex. They've won eight matches in a row.
Seniors
Maryssa Herbert,
Courtney Heydt,
Lily Schuler, and
Emily Paul were all recognized before the match by Head Coach Dee Morris.
In doubles, #1 Schuler and Heydt as well as #2 Herbert and
Kristen Heydt won by identical 8-0 scores. The #3 pairing of
Deanna Whalen and
Elise Perry won by forfeit.
CU won the first five singles matches in straight sets and the sixth via forfeit.
The line-up from top-to-bottom consisted of C. Heydt, Herbert, Whalen, Perry,
Kelly Fischer, and
Kendall Heydt.
The Jackets finish G-MAC play on Friday at Kentucky Wesleyan. Match time is 3:00 p.m. EDT.
