CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The defending champion Lady Jackets and two other teams will play for the 2016 G-MAC trophy at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex this weekend.
In Friday's 2:00 p.m. EDT semifinal, #2 seed Cedarville, 11-8 overall and 6-1 G-MAC, plays #3 Alderson Broaddus, 5-14 and 4-3 G-MAC.
The winner advances to play top seed Davis & Elkins, 13-10 and 7-0 G-MAC, in the championship match on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
The conference champion earns the G-MAC's first-ever automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Championship.
The Lady Jackets have defeated AB twice this spring: 8-1 in Florida in a non-conference match on March 9 and then 5-4 indoors at the Dayton Five Seasons Sports Club on March 25.
CU lost a 5-4 decision to D&E at home just last Saturday in the regular season finale.
Davis & Elkins swept two matches from Alderson Broaddus this season by identical 8-1 scores.
