CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Defending champion and #2 seed Cedarville eliminated #3 Alderson Broaddus, 5-1, in a G-MAC semifinal match played at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex.

The Lady Jackets, 12-8, advance to meet #1 Davis & Elkins in Saturday's championship match. It will be played indoors at Dayton Center Courts.

The winner earns the league's first-ever NCAA Division II Championship bid.

CU led 2-1 after doubles. Lauren Jackson and Kristen Heydt were 8-2 winners at the #1 slot and #3 Rosie Thompson and Elise Perry posted an 8-1 decision.

The Jackets wrapped up the match, which was played to the point of decision, with three singles victories.

The winners were #1 Jackson, #5 Thompson, and #6 Perry - all in straight sets.

Cedarville and D&E closed out the regular season on April 23 on the Jackets' home court with the Senators winning, 5-4.

CU defeated Davis & Elkins in last year's championship match, 5-3, also played at Dayton Center Courts.
