TIFFIN, Ohio - Defending champion and No. 3 seed Ohio Valley built a two-goal lead and eliminated the No. 2 Yellow Jackets, 2-1, in the G-MAC Men's Soccer Tournament semifinals.

The contest was played on the artificial surface at Heidelberg University.

The Fighting Scots, 16-4 overall, tallied in the fourth minute and made it a two-goal cushion in the 56th.

Cedarville, who ends the season 11-6-2, was held at bay until freshman Jonny Stephens finished off classmate's Sammy Kilimann's corner kick with 1:37 left on the clock.

Ohio Valley faces host and top seed Tiffin in Saturday's championship game at noon EDT.

  • Cedarville leads the all-time season series, 8-4-2.
  • Tiffin rallied to stun No. 5 Lake Erie in the other semifinal, 3-2, with two goals in the final ten minutes of regulation and the winner early in the first OT.
