TIFFIN, Ohio - Defending champion and No. 3 seed Ohio Valley built a two-goal lead and eliminated the No. 2 Yellow Jackets, 2-1, in the G-MAC Men's Soccer Tournament semifinals.
The contest was played on the artificial surface at Heidelberg University.
The Fighting Scots, 16-4 overall, tallied in the fourth minute and made it a two-goal cushion in the 56th.
Cedarville, who ends the season 11-6-2, was held at bay until freshman

Sammy Kilimann's corner kick with 1:37 left on the clock.
Ohio Valley faces host and top seed Tiffin in Saturday's championship game at noon EDT.
Stinger Notes:
- The game was played in rainy, breezy conditions with temperatures in the mid-40's.
- Stephens' goal was his fourth of the season with all coming in the last five games.
- Junior goalkeeper Carter Selvius equaled his season and career-high of eight saves (Trevecca).
- Ohio Valley outshot the Jackets 18-4 overall and 10-2 on goal.
- It was the fourth straight year the two sides have met in the G-MAC semifinals with each team winning twice.
- Cedarville leads the all-time season series, 8-4-2.
- Tiffin rallied to stun No. 5 Lake Erie in the other semifinal, 3-2, with two goals in the final ten minutes of regulation and the winner early in the first OT.
