ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland's early goal held up for a 1-0 non-conference men's soccer victory over Cedarville at Ferguson Field.
The Eagles, 1-2-1, netted the game's only goal in the seventh minute in what resulted in a defensive battle.
Each team was credited with nine shots while the Yellow Jackets had a slim 5-4 edge on goal.
Carter Selvius made three saves for CU, 3-2-1.
Stinger Notes:
- Half of Cedarville's six matches have finished with 1-0 score lines.
- The Yellow Jackets attempted more corner kicks, 6-1.
- It was the fifth men's soccer meeting between the two schools. CU leads, 3-2.
