Jackets settle for draw at Walsh

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Walsh rallied from a two-goal deficit to salvage a 2-2 draw in double overtime with Cedarville in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference encounter.

The visitors had built a 2-0 lead just 20 minutes into the match. Pedro Alvares scored his first as a Yellow Jacket unassisted in the 10th minute.

Cole Butaud's second of the season came ten minutes later from Conner Hughes.

The Cavaliers got one back in the 37th minute and eventually equalized in the 59th. Neither team registered a shot in the overtimes.

Carter Selvius logged all 110 minutes in goal with two saves for the Jackets, 2-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 G-MAC.

Stinger Notes:
  • Cedarville played its fourth game in eight days.
  • Walsh had more total shots (12-10), but the Jackets held a slight edge on goal (5-4).
  • It was the 50th meeting in the all-time season series dating back to 1970. Walsh leads 24-20-6.
