COLUMBUS, Ohio -
Isabelle Bolender came off the bench to score a career-high 19 points and lead Cedarville to its sixth straight victory with an 84-62 decision against Northwood at Ohio Dominican University.
The Lady Jackets, 6-1, waltz into Thanksgiving break having won six games in a row.
CU blasted out to a 17-4 lead, but found itself in a three-point hole early in the second quarter thanks to a 17-1 run by the Timberwolves.
The Jackets responded with a 13-2 spurt of their own and never trailed again. They inflated the advantage to as much as 26 in the final minutes.
Bolender made 8-of-10 shots from the field including a pair of three-pointers. She added four rebounds and two steals.
Emily Chapman and
Abby Wolford flipped in 13 points apiece.
Ashlyn Huffman added 12 points and eight assists.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville outrebounded Northwood, 38-26, with Alli Roh pulling down six boards.
- The Jackets made 11 three-pointers - the fifth time in seven outings they've reached double figures.
- CU was +7 in the turnover department - the fifth straight time the opposition has committed more.
- Huffman is averaging 6.7 assists per contest.
- Wolford has scored in double figures six times in seven games.
- It was the first women's basketball meeting between the two schools.
