Cedarville long game too much for Storm

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets rained in a season-high 19 three-pointers and six players scored in double figures during a 112-58 romp past Lake Erie in a G-MAC contest at the Callan Athletic Center.

League-leading Cedarville rolled to its 12th straight win to improve to 12-1 overall and 12-1 G-MAC.

Isabelle Bolender led the onslaught with 17 points. She was joined in twin digits by Abby Freeman (14), Paige Garr (14), Ashlyn Huffman (13), Emily Chapman (13), and Stevie Johnting (12).

Just two days ago on the Storm's home court, the Jackets were taken to the final minute before escaping with a 58-55 outcome.

The offense was much better this time as CU buried 19-of-30 shots from beyond the arc as part of a .613 field goal accuracy overall.

Stinger Notes:
  • Eight different players made a three-pointer with Chapman, Garr, Freeman, and Johnting  hitting four apiece.
  • Huffman matched her season-high with nine assists.
  • Freeman's 14 points and Marshall's nine were both career-highs.
  • Cedarville was +6 on the boards (40-34) after getting outrebounded by 27 on Saturday.
  • The Jackets scored their 58th point with 1:08 left in the first half.
  • The home team forced 12 more turnovers (8-20) and the bench racked up 57 points. 
  • The school record for most points in a game is 116 vs. Urbana (2/18/83) and the mark for triples is 23 vs. Ursuline (2/23/19).
  • Cedarville is 13-0 all-time vs. Lake Erie.
