QUINCY, Ill. - Quincy turned around a close game in the second period for a 88-77 win over Cedarville in the final game of the Midwest Region Crossover.
The host Hawks split their first two games of the campaign while the shorthanded Yellow Jackets dropped both affairs.
A 15-4 run shortly after halftime got Quincy on its way in building a lead that grew to as large as 76-59 with 6:25 remaining.
Quinton Green knocked down five three-pointers and totaled 21 points for the visitors.
Conner TenHove produced 16 points with eight rebounds and
Branden Maughmer registered 14 points, six boards, and four assists.
Stinger Notes:
- Six different Yellow Jackets made at least one three-point basket.
- CU's largest lead was 16-9 six-plus minutes into the contest.
- Starting center Kollin Van Horn missed his second straight game and backup Jacob Drees was also on the sideline.
- Quincy has won all five games ever played between the two schools.
- No. 6 Truman manhandled G-MAC member Findlay in the first game of the evening, 90-61.
