HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Wayne State bounced back in the fourth quarter and overcame the Lady Jackets, 85-83, in a non-conference tussle in the Callan Athletic Center.
The Warriors, 3-0, quicky erased a seven-point deficit entering the final period and needed a free throw with three seconds left in regulation to tie it.
The visitors started the OT on an 8-2 run to take control.
Emily Chapman racked up 20 points and six assists to lead Cedarville, 2-1.
Paige Garr finished with 18 points.
Makenna Fee and
Anne Wheeler totaled 13 points apiece before both left the contest with injuries.
Stinger Notes:
- CU buried 14-of-29 three-pointers including a 12-of-19 showing from the second quarter on.
- Chapman was 3-for-3 outside the arc and converted all five of her free throws.
- Garr knocked down a team-high four triples.
- As a team, the Jackets made 17-of-19 at the charity stripe.
- Wayne State has won all four games played between the two schools.
