Emily Chapman scored her 1,000th career point while
Paige Garr and
Taylor Strock produced double-doubles as Cedarville rolled in the final game of the Hoops in Hawaii Holiday Classic.
The Lady Jackets overpowered Northwest Indian College, 103-33, to improve to 7-3.
Chapman finished with 18 points in 18 minutes and became the 29th player in program history to join the 1,000 Point Club.
Strock established career-highs with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Garr pumped in 16 points with a career-best 12 boards.
Lydia Sweeney scored 14 points and
Abby Freeman finished with 11 rebounds - career-highs for both players.
After NWIC took a 3-2 lead, Cedarville poured in 34 consecutive points over a course of 11 minutes.
Stinger Notes:
- Chapman was named Tournament MVP with Garr and Allison Mader joining her on the all-tournament team.
- The rebounding difference was 65-27 and turnover differential was 16-6 in favor of the Jackets.
- All ten players in uniform scored and were credited with at least one assist.
- Eight different players contributed to the season-high 16 three-point baskets.
- CU's school record for margin of victory is 78 in a 111-33 win over Lyndon State in the first round of the 2005 NAIA Division II National Tournament.
- It was the first-ever basketball meeting between the two schools.
