CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville defeated non-conference foe Shawnee State, 6-1, in what was the Lady Jackets' first home match in a year and a half.
They last played a competitive contest at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex on Sept. 14, 2019 against Taylor.
CU took the doubles point from the Bears on the strength of wins by No. 1
Abby Totten and
Lauren Hollis as well as No. 3
Jessica Spry and
Joelle Petek.
The Jackets, 3-2, won singles matches 2-thru-6 even though at one time they were trailing in three of them.
Singles winners from top-to-bottom were Totten, Hollis,
Faith Triplett, Spry, and VanDyke.
