NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca netted the game's only goal midway through the first half and shut down the United Soccer Coaches Division II No. 19 Yellow Jackets, 1-0.
The Trojans scored in the 23rd minute and then withstood a flurry of Cedarville attempts the rest of the way.
The Jackets outshot the hosts 16-5 in the contest including an 11-2 margin in the second half.
However, shots on goal were even at four apiece.
Matthias Dewhurst earned his first career start and made two saves in the first half.
Jared Zacharias stopped one shot over the final 45 minutes.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville was awarded 14 corner kicks compared to just two for TNU.
- The Yellow Jackets own the all-time series, 12-2-3.
- Both Trevecca victories have come in Nashville.
