CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets exploded for nine runs in the sixth inning to beat Ohio Valley, 13-5, and complete a sweep of their G-MAC softball doubleheader.
Cedarville won the first game, 3-1.
In the big inning alone of the nightcap,
Arica Flaugher doubled twice and tallied three RBI.
Mariah Wallace had a pair of RBI singles including the one that ended the contest via the eight-run mercy rule.
Bella Ross unloaded a solo homer.
Flaugher finished the game 3-for-5 with three doubles and four RBI.
Sami Buettell had three hits with three runs scored and Wallace was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs.
Casey Bertke, 8-8, got the win in two innings of relief. She also tripled in a run and scored another for the Jackets, 19-15 overall and 8-8 G-MAC.
Cedarville managed just five hits in the first game, but they were big ones. Bertke tripled in a run, Wallace socked a solo homer, and Flaugher had a sacrifice fly for the other one.

Emily Blake, 1-2, took a perfect game into the fifth inning and allowed just one base runner on a walk.
Abbey Mayes worked the final two innings to get the save.

- Wallace's home run was her team-leading fifth of the season.
- Flaugher racked up four hits and five RBI in the doubleheader.
- Faith Bergner, Brooke Miller, Lexi Parsons, and McKenna Smith had two hits each in game two.
- CU rapped a season-high 20 hits in the second contest featuring nine for extra bases.
- The Lady Jackets lead the all-time series, 20-4.
