CHAMPIONSHIP INFO
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Defending champion and No. 3 seed Tiffin scored twice in 66 seconds to rally past the No. 2 Yellow Jackets, 3-2, in a G-MAC Men's Soccer Semifinal at Ohio Dominican's Panther Stadium.
Cedarville ends the abbreviated spring campaign with a 7-2-1 record.
The Dragons leveled the match, 2-2 in the 76th minute and then were awarded a PK which was converted just over a minute later.
Tiffin struck quickly in the seventh minute for the early lead before the Jackets mustered a comeback of their own with two goals less than four minutes apart.
Mauricio Ochoa Vazquez tallied in the 42nd minute from
Victor Pomelli.
Andy Volk gave CU a 2-1 advantage just 16 seconds after halftime from
Sammy Kilimann.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville outshot TU 13-9 overall and 7-6 on goal.
- Jared Zacharias was credited with three saves.
- It was the first time this spring the Jackets allowed more than two goals.
- The Dragons lead the all-time series between the two schools, 22-12-2.
