COLUMBUS, Ohio -
Aleah Martone tallied the game's only goal in the 85th minute to give the Lady Jackets a 1-0 result at Ohio Dominican in the G-MAC opener for both sides.
It's the first win of the young season for Cedarville, 1-2-1 overall.
Martone received a pass from
Payton Fraley and ripped a 20-yarder just inside the far post.
Brooke Ackley made three saves in goal while registering her second shutout of the season.
The Lady Jackets outshot the Panthers 14-5 overall and 8-3 on goal.

"I'm really proud of the players' effort and teamwork tonight. We had to make a few adjustments, but the team responded well, stayed patient, and kept working the ball until the goal finally came late in the second half."
Stinger Notes:
- The goal was Martone's tenth of her career.
- Only four fouls total were called in the contest - two on each team.
- Cedarville won at ODU for the first time since Oct. 10, 2000 - a 6-1 win in the first-ever meeting.
- The outcome stopped a nine-game winless string in Columbus (0-8-1).
- Ohio Dominican leads the all-time series, 14-4-3.
- The two teams close out the regular season at Cedarville on Nov. 2.
