CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Jackson Isaacs scored twice and
Mark Rowan added a goal and an assist to lead the Yellow Jackets to a convincing 4-0 victory over Tiffin.
Cedarville improved to 4-1 overall and 1-1 G-MAC with its first clean sheet of the campaign.
Isaacs headed in a cross from Rowan in the 12th minute for the early lead.
The Yellow Jackets withstood consistent pressure from the visitors until Isaacs struck again in the 57th.
He took a long pass from
Jake Johnson and looped a shot over the keeper from the right corner of the box.
Rowan took advantage of a misplay by the TU netminder and scored into an open net in the 73rd minute.
Phillip Maillefer accounted for the final with a goal from
Matthew Weller with 1:58 remaining.
Stinger Notes:
- Jared Zacharias made two saves in recording his third career shutout.
- The Yellow Jackets had a slight edge in total shots, 15-14, with an 8-2 margin on goal.
- CU had not beaten the Dragons by four goals since posting a 4-0 result at Tiffin in 2005.
- It's the only regular season meeting between the two schools.
- Tiffin holds a 22-13-2 edge in the all-time series.
