NORTH CANTON, Ohio - United Soccer Coaches Division II No. 23 Walsh did all of its damage in the second half to beat the Yellow Jackets, 3-0, in a G-MAC contest.
The unbeaten Cavaliers, 7-0-2 overall and 4-0-1 G-MAC, tallied twice in a little more than two minutes early in the second half to gain control.
The hosts came through in the 58th and 60th minutes for a 2-0 advantage.
They completed the scoring in the 73rd.
Cedarville suffered its first shutout of the season in falling to 4-2-1 overall and 1-2-1 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:
- Shots were at a premium. Walsh had the edge overall (7-5) and on goal (6-2).
- Goalkeeper Jared Zacharias made three saves.
- The last time CU was shutout was in the spring at Trevecca (1-0).
- The Cavaliers lead the all-time series, 26-21-6.
- The two sides end the regular season in Cedarville on November 2.
