CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Seven different players scored as Cedarville overwhelmed Tiffin, 7-1, in a G-MAC game staged on Homecoming Saturday.
It was the fifth consecutive victory for the Lady Jackets, 8-2-1 overall and 6-1 G-MAC.
The home team netted three quick goals in the opening 20 minutes to take control.
Audrey Nelson,
Aleah Martone, and
Mary Kate Wyer scored within seven minutes of each another to provide the hosts a 3-0 margin by halftime.
After the Dragons looped in a goal in the 63rd minute, Cedarville took advantage of the wind to tack on four more from
Olivia Hoffman,
Tiffany Campbell,
Jada Hensley, and
Maddie McConnell.
Stinger Notes:
- Wyer, Hannah Sareyka, Payton Fraley, and Jewell Hensley recorded assists.
- Jocelyn Gross saw her first action in goal playing the final 15 minutes.
- Jada Hensley appeared in her first game of the season.
- Hoffman's team-leading fifth goal was the 21st of her career with Wyer getting her 16th.
- A total of 52 players combined saw action including 28 Lady Jackets.
- It was the most goals scored since a 12-0 win over Salem International on October 22, 2015.
- The Dragons lead the all-time series, 12-7-3, but CU has won the last seven.
- The sides meet again in Tiffin on October 15.
