TIFFIN, Ohio -
Maya Ryder had a goal and an assist to spark Cedarville to a 2-1 victory at Tiffin to extend its winning streak to a school-record nine in a row.
The Lady Jackets, 12-2-1 overall and 10-1 G-MAC, took over sole possession of first place in the league standings.
Ryder's 20-yarder from a sharp angle in the 32nd minute got past the Dragons' keeper to open the scoring with
Hannah Sareyka assisting.
Ryder's cross from the end line was headed in by
Aleah Martone from the six-yard box in the 58th minute for a two-goal bulge.
TU erased the shutout by getting on the board in the 71st.
Stinger Notes:
- It was Ryder's second two-point game of the season (Walsh).
- Goalkeeper Brooke Ackley was called upon to make four saves.
- Corner kicks were 10-1 in favor of the visitors.
- CU had beaten Tiffin, 7-1, two weeks ago in the annual Homecoming game.
- The previous record of eight straight wins was set two seasons ago.
- The Dragons still lead the all-time series, 12-8-3, but Cedarville has won the last eight meetings.
