CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ferris State spoiled the Lady Jackets' season opener by posting a 76-66 non-conference result at the Callan Athletic Center.
Paige Garr pumped in 20 points to lead the home team.
Kat Weakley made her CU debut with 12 points and
Taylor Stacy chipped in a career-high 11.
Cedarville led 13-12 after one quarter, but then suffered through a 2-for-13 shooting skid in the second period.
The Bulldogs led 26-20 at the intermission and never trailed again.
Ferris State let a 13-point lead slip to a three-point margin midway through the fourth quarter, but then regained control with an 18-4 run.

- Garr scored all 20 of her points in the second half.
- Weakley and Stacy provided their points coming off the bench.
- Ferris State controlled the boards, 39-27.
- The Jackets attempted just five free throws and made all five.
- The hosts knocked down 11 three-pointers.
- Cedarville holds a 3-1 lead in the all-time series.
