SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Truman State used a key fourth quarter run to claim a 70-63 win over Cedarville in the final game of the Drury Thanksgiving Classic.
The Bulldogs broke a 54-54 deadlock with seven minutes left to score eight consecutive points and grab the lead for good.
The Lady Jackets had turned around a 12-point deficit early in the third quarter to eventually get the game tied.
Lydia Sweeney tallied 15 points and
Paige Garr added ten for CU, 1-3.
Taylor Strock chipped in eight points and
Makenna Fee hauled in a team-high seven rebounds.
Stinger Notes:
- Fee, Abby Freeman, Evan Neely, Kat Weakley, and Anne Wheeler scored six points each.
- The Jackets equaled their season-high of three-point field goals made (11).
- CU attempted just one free throw (0-for-1) compared to 16 for TSU (12-for-16).
- The Jackets outscored Truman 63-58 from the field.
- It was the first time the two schools have played each other in women's basketball.
