CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets caught fire midway through the second half and rode the momentum for a 83-62 non-conference win over Wilberforce at the Callan Athletic Center.
Quinton Green matched his season-high with 27 points for Cedarville, 14-10 overall.
Branden Maughmer totaled 16 points, five assists, and five steals.
The home team made just 26.5 percent of its shots and missed all ten of its three-point attempts in the first half to trail 31-27 at the intermission.
The Jackets shot 71 percent in the second period and used a 29-8 run to finally put the Bulldogs away.
Cedarville outscored the visitors 56-31 over the final 20 minutes.
Stinger Notes:
- Green, who converted 16-of-19 free throws in the game, scored 20 of his 27 points in the second half.
- The team's 27 free throws made was their second-best this season (28 vs. Southern Indiana).
- The Jackets made four of their last five three-point shots afters missing their first 12.
- Cedarville controlled the boards, 43-35, and forced ten more turnovers (15-25).
- It was the 89th meeting on the hardwood between the Greene County rivals.
- CU leads the all-time series, 70-19, which began during the 1953-54 season.
