CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets had all they could handle against pesky Ursuline before prevailing, 3-1, in a G-MAC home contest.
Cedarville, 11-3-1 overall and 8-2-1 G-MAC, has won three straight games and is unbeaten in the last five.
The home team got on the board in the seventh minute when a cross by
Maya Ryder was deflected in by an Arrows defender.
Ursuline equalized off a corner kick in the 37th minute.
However, CU regained the lead with just 49 seconds left in the half when
Carlie Stutzman's free kick was directed in by
Taylor Meadows.
The Jackets didn't get their insurance goal until the 84th minute when
Maddy Nelson's 25-yard strike eluded the keeper into the upper right corner of the net.
Cedarville enjoyed wide margins in the shots department - 23-8 overall and 11-4 on goal.
