ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland made the most of its chances and outplayed the Yellow Jackets, 3-1, in a G-MAC men's soccer battle at Ferguson Field.
The outcome drops Cedarville to fifth place in the standings with two home games remaining.
The top four finishers earn a first round home game in the upcoming G-MAC Tournament.
The Eagles were credited with three shots on goal and scored on each one of them.
The hosts built a 2-0 lead with tallies in the 40th and 66th minutes.
The Yellow Jackets, 8-5-3 overall and 5-4-3 G-MAC, pulled one back four minutes later when
Caleb Knight drilled a low free kick from 20 yards inside the left post.
Ashland tacked on an insurance goal in the 80th minute to account for the final.
