QUINCY, Ill. -
Lydia Sweeney scored 19 points and Cedarville gave
Addy Miller a win in her first game as head coach with a 54-52 result at Quincy in the GLVC/G-MAC Challenge.
The Lady Jackets built a 50-39 lead midway through the fourth quarter before the Hawks finished with a 13-4 flurry.
The hosts had the last possession, but missed a jumper in the final seconds.
Kat Weakley knocked down three three-pointers and finished with 11 points while
Nyla Hale and
Anne Wheeler chipped in ten points apiece.
Weakley and
Leah Butterbaugh hauled in six rebounds each.
KaCee Kyle dished out a game-high six assists.
Cedarville scored 13 straight points to bolt to a 15-2 lead. Quincy responded with 15 consecutive points to grabbed their only advantage, 17-15, in the second quarter.
Weakley nailed a triple and the Jackets never trailed again.
