PAINESVILLE, Ohio - No. 2 seed Lake Erie tallied twice in the second half and blanked No. 7 Cedarville, 2-0, in the opening round of the G-MAC Men's Soccer Championship.
The Yellow Jackets end the campaign at 8-6-5 overall.
After a scoreless first half in which both sides attempted five shots apiece, the Storm made the key plays in the second period.
LEC finally broke through in the 52nd minute and tacked on an insurance goal in the 76th.
The home team outshot CU 15-9 overall and 6-3 on goal.
Jabari Gray was credited with four saves in goal.
