SALEM, W.Va. -
Lydia Sweeney scored 20 points to help Cedarville roll to a 77-58 non-conference result at Salem.
Leah Butterbaugh (13 points),
Kat Weakley (11), and
Makenna Fee (10) joined Sweeney in double figures for the Lady Jackets, 3-6.
The host Tigers took their only lead, 20-19, early in the second quarter, but CU answered with ten straight points and never looked back.
A 25-8 run to finish the period resulted in a 44-28 Lady Jacket advantage by halftime thanks to 59 percent shooting.
An eight-point spurt to begin the fourth quarter pushed the difference to a game-high 27 points at 69-42.
STINGER NOTES:
- Butterbaugh's 13 points were a career high which included 3-of-4 three-pointers.
- Sweeney led the team with eight rebounds and six steals.
- Fee started her first game of the season and played 22 minutes.
- The team's 22 assists were a season-high with Fee, Sweeney, and Kacee Kyle totaling four each.
- CU made ten three-pointers which was the most since hitting 11 vs. Truman State.
- The Lady Jackets are a perfect 13-0 vs. Salem in the all-time series which began in 2011-12.
