Anne Wheeler poured in a career-high 23 points, but Walsh held off Cedarville, 69-62, at Alumni Arena.
Kat Weakley totaled 18 points and
Lydia Sweeney added 14 for the Lady Jackets, 7-18 overall and 5-14 G-MAC.
The host Cavaliers took a 12-10 lead at the end of the first quarter and kept the difference at single digits until going up 69-59 with 1:17 remaining.
Wheeler drained a three-pointer in the final seconds to account for the final.
Stinger Notes:
- Wheeler's previous career-high was 21 points earlier this season at Trevecca.
- The junior guard was also credited with a season-high four steals.
- Weakley scored in double figures for the seventh straight time (16.0 ppg).
- Each team committed just nine personal fouls apiece.
- Cedarville entered the contest leading NCAA Division II in free throw accuracy (.840), but converted just 6-of-10 shots from the stripe.
- Walsh swept the two regular season meetings.
- The Cavaliers lead the all-time series, 26-22.
