CLERMONT, Fla. - The Lady Jackets outhit the opposition on the day, but Illinois Springfield and Ferris State both came up with wins at Legends Way Fields.
UIS took the first contest, 7-2, thanks to a five-run fourth inning.
Freshman
Dana Bertke stole a base and had three of the team's eight hits.
Jordan Berry doubled with RBI singles coming from
Casey Bertke and
Camryn Taktak.
Cedarville racked up 11 hits during a 7-4 setback to Ferris State.
Mariah Wallace had two hits with two runs scored for Cedarville, 4-12 overall, and
Faith Bergner added two hitsÂ
