FINDLAY, Ohio - No. 1 seed Ohio Dominican pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat No. 4 Cedarville, 3-2, in an elimination game at the G-MAC Softball Championship.
The Lady Jackets end the season at 22-26.
The Panthers loaded the bases with three consecutive singles and then plated the winner on a fielders choice RBI.
Cedarville battled back from a 2-0 deficit by scoring twice in the fourth inning.
Casey Bertke doubled in the first run and
Kaley Clark delivered a two-out RBI single.
Clark finished 3-for-3 while
Mackenzie Russell added two hits including a double.
Bertke along with starting pitcher
Adaline Ziehmer combined to strikeout seven batters without issuing any walks.
The Lady Jackets posted an 18-12 record during the final six weeks of the campaign including a 16-8 mark in G-MAC regular season play.
