CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville University women's tennis gets the 2023-24 schedule underway on Saturday with a new coach and a young lineup.
The Lady Jackets travel to Capital for a non-conference tilt at 10:00 a.m. in the season opener.
Karl Monson takes over the program with a 12-player roster, five of whom are freshmen along with four sophomores.
Senior
Abby Totten is the squad's most experienced talent. She is a two-time NCCAA All-American and was the 2021 G-MAC Freshman of the Year.
She and classmate
Lauryn Leslie, who returns for her second season of tennis, were both ITA Scholar-Athletes, NCCAA Scholar-Athletes, and G-MAC Academic Team recipients last spring.
Cedarville will play five contests during the fall portion of the schedule including road trips to Wittenberg and Indiana East.
The Jackets are slated to host Ohio Northern on Sept. 26 as well as West Virginia State on Oct. 13.
