CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Kyle Thomas pumped in 20 points to lead Cedarville to a 79-69 verdict over Wilberforce at the Callan Athletic Center.

Ethan Sellars (15 points), Tymoteusz Pszczola (14), and Timothy Davis (11) also scored in double figures for the Yellow Jackets, 3-1.

Freshman Sam Johnson contributed eight points plus game-highs of eight rebounds and five assists. Sellars also had five assists.

CU hit 12-of-25 shots from deep and converted 17-of-21 free throws. The hosts also controlled the boards, 37-27.

The Jackets buried eight threes in the first half and held a slim 36-34 edge at the intermission.

Cedarville never trailed in the second half, but it took some time to shake off the Bulldogs.

A seven-point run pushed the spread out to 73-61 with 3:33 left - the largest of the contest.
