CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Shawnee State pulled away to down Cedarville, 59-50, before 1,642 Elementary Day fans.
The Monday morning game tipped off at 11:00 a.m. with visitors from ten area schools filling the Callan Athletic Center.
The energetic day also included a halftime performance by the Troy Pop Rocks Jump Rope Team.
Leading 25-24 at the intermission, the Bears edged out to a 40-32 lead through three quarters.
The visitors then pushed the difference to as much as 15 points late in the fourth quarter.
Brianna Zajicek was the only Lady Jacket to score in double figures by finishing with 11 points.
It was the first time in 15 years that the former NAIA rivals had played one another since the days that each took turns dominating the old American Mideast Conference.
