HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Thomas More held off a depleted yet determined Lady Jacket lineup for a 87-68 G-MAC win at the Callan Athletic Center.
Brianna Zajicek pumped in a career-high 18 points for Cedarville, 5-13 overall and 3-8 G-MAC, who had just seven healthy players in uniform.
Leah Butterbaugh scored 12 points and
Regan Hubert added a career-high 11.
CU hung with the Saints in every quarter except the second when TMU was 13 points better, 27-14.
After trailing 67-44 entering the final period, the Jackets responded to outscore the visitors 24-20 over the final ten minutes.
STINGER NOTES:
- All seven players scored at least five points and grabbed at least one rebound.
- Zajicek's previous high this winter was nine points vs. Ohio Dominican and Hubert's was five at Thomas More.
- Butterbaugh scored in double figures for the second straight outing.
- Lydia Betz (seven points) and Elyssa Kincaid (five) both established career highs.
- Zajicek added six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
- Cedarville converted 9-of-11 free throws - all in the second half.
