NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Walsh held off the Lady Jackets, 54-47, in the women's basketball season finale for both G-MAC schools.
KaCee Kyle scored a team-high 16 points for Cedarville while
Kat Weakley chipped in nine points.
The Cavaliers never trailed although the game remained relatively close for all 40 minutes.
The Jackets cut a ten-point deficit down to two on two separate occasions in the fourth quarter, the last of which was 40-38 with 9:02 left.
The home team scored the next seven points and CU got no closer than seven the rest of the way.
STINGER NOTES:
- Kyle made a season-high seven free throws and her 16 points was second only to her career-high 28 (Truman State).
- Lydia Betz match her career-high of eight points (Trevecca).
- Nyla Hale pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
- Leah Butterbaugh equaled her career-high of six assists.
