No. 3 UIndy shuts down Cedarville

HIGHLIGHTS

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets battled NFCA Division II No. 3 Indianapolis, but dropped a pair of 4-0 non-conference decisions.

The second game was scoreless heading into extra innings with the Greyhounds scoring four times in the ninth to complete the sweep.

Starting pitcher Mackenzie Russell checked the visitors on one hit through five innings. Reliever Adaline Johnson fanned three batters in four innings.

Russell had two hits and Mariah Wallace added a double for Cedarville, 17-24.

In the opener, UIndy took control by scoring three times in the first inning.

The Jackets' only hit was a third inning leadoff single by Wallace.
