PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jacket offense came alive to win two G-MAC games over Lake Erie at Kiwanis Recreation Park.
Cedarville grabbed the opener 10-1 in five innings and then closed out the sweep with an 8-3 decision.
In the opener,
Mackenzie Lashuay and
Ella Leonard had three hits apiece while
Brynley Rung homered to fuel a 12-hit attack.
Lashuay doubled twice and scored three times, Leonard drove in three runs and came across the plate twice, and Rung clubbed a two-run long ball.
Camryn Taktak had two hits and two RBI. Winning pitcher
Maya Merrill, 6-10, tossed the first four innings.
The Yellow Jackets, 15-22 overall and 10-4 G-MAC, piled up 13 hits in the nightcap.
Lashuay, Leonard,
Jordan Berry,
Caitlin Colley, and
Emilie Fout all had two hits each.
Winning pitcher
Kara Adkins, 6-4, worked the middle three innings allowing one unearned run on three hits.
