BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – DJ Norman posted the low round of the young season and placed sixth at the Midwest Region Preview.
 
The junior from Roanoke, Ill. shot 69-74-74-217 (+4) on the 6,967 yard, par 71 Katke Golf Course hosted by Ferris State University.
 
Aiden Hibbard tied for 14th place in the 106-player field with a score of 72-77-72-221 (+8).
 
As a team, the Yellow Jackets shot 300-301-302-903 to finish 11th of 16 teams.
 
The rest of the five-man lineup included:

• tie 67th, Ian Reed, 79-78-77-234 (+21)
• tie 72nd, Daniel Bailey, 81-73-82-236 (+23)
• tie 72nd, Huston Ritter, 80-77-79-236 (+23)

 Two players participated as individuals:

• tie 79th, Alexander Ritter, 76-82-79-237 (+24)

 The golfers return to action at the Midwest Collegiate in Peru, Ind. on Sept. 29-30.
