HUNTINGTON, Ind. — Cedarville came up just shy on the road, dropping a narrow 4–3 decision to Huntington on Saturday afternoon at the Klopfenstein Courts.
The Lady Jackets claimed three singles victories, highlighted by
Diana Ivanikhina's straight-set win at the top spot.
Mariana Philipps delivered a dramatic comeback at No. 3 singles, rallying for a 13-11 tiebreak in the decisive set.
Grace Mahek added another point with a convincing win at No. 6 singles.
In doubles, Cedarville secured a victory at the No. 2 court with Ivanikhina and
Molly Filpus pairing up for a dominant 6–1 decision. Despite the strong showing, Huntington captured the other two doubles matches to secure the opening point and ultimately the team victory.
