Quotable: Head Coach Paul Orchard
"It wasn't a great day for us. Certainly not having Joey (Carroll) in there makes a difference. However, we got to see the course where the region meet will be and that was the main reason we came up here. These guys needed to know what it felt like and then be better prepared to attack it the next time out."
Five Facts:
- All-G-MAC runner Joey Carroll did not compete due to illness.
- Varner led the Jackets for the first time this fall.
- Seven Cedarville athletes finished within 1:23 of each other.
- Four of the Top 10 teams in the USTFCCCA Division II poll participated.
- The meet was a preview of the course that will host the Midwest Regional (Nov. 8) and NCAA Division II Championships (Nov. 22).
Next up for the Yellow Jackets is the Wilmington Classic on October 17.
