CEDARVILLE, Ohio –
Sam Johnson poured in 27 points and the Yellow Jackets hammered Kentucky Wesleyan, 84-54, in a G-MAC game at the Callan Athletic Center.
Mikail Harmison and
Anthony Ruffolo tallied 11 points apiece and
Curtis Blair III added 10 for Cedarville, 7-5 overall and 2-2 G-MAC.
The two sides were tied 14-14 before the Jackets took control with 11 unanswered points to spark a 30-12 run to finish the half.
CU never let up by expanding the difference to 29 points midway through the second period and to as much as 34 with 3:50 remaining.
The home team shot .559 from the field and hit 10-of-22 (.455) shots from deep – the second-best overall percentage and three-point accuracy for the season.
On the flip side, the Yellow Jackets held KWC to .321 shooting including just 5-for-25 (.200) outside the arc.

- Johnson netted 21 of his 27 points in the first half.
- Will Gibson handed out a game-high seven assists.
- Second-leading scorer Jaylen Davis (15.4 ppg) did not play.
- The Jackets dominated points in the paint (40-22) and bench points (31-11).
- Cedarville outrebounded the visitors, 39-33, with Johnson and Blair pulling in six apiece.
- CU ended a four-game losing streak to Kentucky Wesleyan, who leads the all-time series, 15-9.
- It was the Jackets' second-largest win over the Panthers behind an 83-51 decision at home on February 3, 2022.
- The rematch in Owensboro, Ky. is scheduled for January 24.
