The Oilers held the advantage for more than 35 minutes including a 40-33 spread at the break.

They methodically built a 19-point lead with 9:15 remaining which was good enough to eventually come away with the G-MAC road result.

Quotable: Head Coach Rob Jones
"First off, I would like to thank the crowd. I thought the crowd was terrific with it being Alumni Weekend and with so many alums in the crowd. I thought it was awesome to have that many people there. I wish that we could've put together a better performance from start-to-finish to be able to honor them in that way.

"I didn't think we took a ton of bad shots. I just don't think they were comfortable shots. We're used to having a little more room and rhythm because we share the ball, we play together. and we'll connect in that way. That helps us get those rhythm shots. I thought we were a little disjointed at times. That's a very good team. Findlay did a good job of disrupting us offensively. Whether it be their pressure or they sprinkled in some zone, I think that kept us off balance."

Five Facts:
  • Each team committed just eight turnovers apiece.
  • The Oilers' bench scored 42 of their 82 points.
  • The crowd was the second-largest of the season only trailing Elementary Day (2,486).
  • The rematch at Findlay is set for February 19 where the Jackets won twice last season.
