CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Three different Lady Jackets found the net as Cedarville remained unbeaten in G-MAC play with a 3-0 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday at Yellow Jacket Field.
Cedarville needed just 2:33 to get on the board.
Kacy Rosenthal delivered a corner into the box and
Becca Schulenburg headed it into the far side of the goal for a team leading third of the season.
The Lady Jackets doubled the advantage in the 27th minute.
Harriet Sandager sent a cross into the area that glanced off a defender before
Ella Webb finished from six yards out for her second goal of the campaign. CU finished their dominant opening half with eight corner kicks.
Cedarville continued to control the attack after halftime and finished with a 19-4 advantage in shots, including 8-3 on goal.
After a previous score was disallowed by replay,
Audrey Stanley completed the scoring in the 88th minute with her first goal of the season. She dribbled around the goalkeeper on a breakaway before finishing into the left side of the goal.
Anna Taylor made three saves to record another clean sheet as Cedarville's defense continued its school record of consecutive shutouts, which now stands at nine.
Cedarville is 7-1-3 overall and remains unbeaten at 5-0-2 in G-MAC play. Their next match is Thursday at Lake Erie.
