KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Cedarville posted a 4-2 men's tennis victory over Trine at Oak Street Park to even their season record at 6-6.
The Jackets secured the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3.
Roman Issayev and
Logan DeHaven earned a 6-3 decision at second doubles, while
Alexander Rongos and
Xavier Gee battled to a 7-6 (7-5) win in the third position.
In singles play, the Jackets captured three completed matches to clinch the team victory.
Pedro Nogueira was dominant at No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph, and
Alexander Rongos followed with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5.
Roberto Esquivel added a straight-set victory at No. 2, 6-2, 6-3 .
Barry King was leading in the third set at No. 6 when play was halted, while two other singles matches were decided by match tiebreakers.
