TIPP CITY, Ohio – The Yellow Jackets suffered a 4-0 setback against Walsh indoors at the Schroeder Tennis Center.
Walsh secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.
Cedarville answered with a tiebreak victory at No. 2 doubles from the tandem of
Roman Issayev and
Alexander Rongos.
The Cavaliers carried momentum into singles play, claiming straight-set victories at No. 2 and No. 4 to build a 3-0 lead.
The G-MAC match was clinched at No. 1 singles where Issayev battled through two tight tiebreak sets before falling in straight sets.
Three additional singles matches featuring
Logan DeHaven, Rongos, and
Penn Morrison were left unfinished for the Jackets, 7-12 overall and 0-3 G-MAC.
