KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Cedarville's three-match winning streak came to an end with a 6-1 loss to Mary Washington at Oak Street Park.
The setback moves the Yellow Jackets to 7-7 on the season.
Cedarville claimed the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 3.
Roberto Esquivel and
Penn Morrison secured a 6-2 win at the top spot, while
Roman Issayev and
Alexander Rongos added a 7-5 triumph at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Mary Washington won all six matches to seal the team result.
Issayev battled to a third-set super tiebreak at No. 1 singles before falling 10-7, and
Pedro Nogueira also pushed his match to a deciding tiebreak at No. 4, also on the short end of 10-7 result.
