OWENSBORO, Ky. – Cedarville clinched a spot in the upcoming G-MAC Tournament with a dominant 5-0 indoor sweep at Kentucky Wesleyan.
The Yellow Jackets secured the doubles point with wins on all three courts, highlighted by a 7-6 (7-5) decision at No. 2 from
Roman Issayev and
Alexander Rongos.
No. 1
Roberto Esquivel and
Logan DeHaven added a 6-1 victory, while No. 3
Pedro Nogueira and
Penn Morrison completed the sweep, 6-3.
Cedarville carried that momentum into singles play, winning four straight matches in decisive fashion to end the contest early.
Nailing down the points were No. 1 Issayev, No. 3 DeHaven, No. 5 Nogueira, and No. 6 Morrison.
The Yellow Jackets finish the regular season at 10-15 overall and 3-5 in G-MAC play.
