ASHLAND, Ohio – Cedarville battled G-MAC opponent #7 Ashland to a scoreless draw on Saturday night at Ferguson Field.
The Lady Jackets put both of their shots on target in the opening half.
Amber Garman forced a save in the fifth minute before
Evania McCandless tested the Ashland keeper in the 17th.
Ashland generated six shots before the break and eight more in the second half, but Cedarville's defense kept the Eagles off the scoreboard. The hosts finished with a 14-2 advantage in total shots, although just three were on frame.
Anna Taylor went the distance in goal and made three saves to preserve the clean sheet.
The shutout continued an impressive defensive stretch for the Lady Jackets, who extended their school record to seven consecutive shutouts. Defenders
