NASHPORT, Ohio – Freshman
Silas Kirkpatrick tied the 54-hole school record and won medalist honors going away at Ashland University's Crossroads Cup.
He fired 69-65-76-210 (-6) which was six shots clear of the rest of the field. Kirkpatrick's second round 65 (-7) was a new program record for 18 holes by a stroke at The Virtues Golf Club which played to par 72 and 7,085 yards.
Aiden Hibbard, who had set the 54-hole record last week at the UIndy Fall Invitational, tied for sixth place with 68-71-79-218 (+2).
The duo guided the linksters to fourth place out of 13 schools with 291-294-307-892 (+28).
Ethan Ritter turned in 74-79-77-230 (+14) to tie for 34th.
Ian Reed shot 80-79-75-234 (+18) and
DJ Norman had 81-79-83-243 (+27).
Two players were entered as individuals.
Huston Ritter tied for 15th with 73-74-75-222 (+6) and
Alexander Ritter totaled 83-85-81-249 (+33).
The Yellow Jackets are off until Oct. 12-13 when they will play in Findlay's Doc Spragg Fall Invite.
